Dear membersFifty years ago, a small group of kindred spirits founded the HKIE as we know it today. These engineers believed in the profession’s centrality in Hong Kong’s future. It is a belief as true now as it was back in those days.Fifty years later, I am given an opportunity to bear out their belief as the HKIE’s President—in the year of our 50th Anniversary to boot.
