This comprehensive redevelopment is located in the heart of Mongkok district. The site is bisected by the busy Shanghai Street, forming sites A and B. Site A comprises a 59-storey, 255m Grade-A office tower and 15-storey retail complex. Images projected onto the curved steel roof of the retail atrium create a digital display over the space below. A perimeter diaphragm wall was constructed for the 25m deep basement built by the top-down method. Site B houses a 38-storey 665-room 5-star hotel, built on top of a 10-storey podium comprising function rooms, restaurants and government facilities.

The complex also boasts an innovative ‘Digital Sky’ rooftop audiovisual showcase, and the ‘Xpresscalator’, Hong Kong’s longest indoor escalator. In addition, there is a bus terminus at street level and a two level basement car park below. Cutting edge structural design for the office tower and Grand Atrium was applied. The development has changed the outlook and the quality of the surrounding district and will act as a catalyst for further renewal in this older area of urban Kowloon.
