The data centre is China Unicom’s first and the largest facility outside mainland China and is part of Hong Kong’s transformation into a regional hub for Internet data services.
ATAL Engineering Group provided design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning and preventative maintenance services of building services, MEP Infrastructure and management systems for this data centre. It is a secure, temperature-controlled facility designed to house large-capacity servers and enterprise data storage systems. Data centres need multiple power sources for redundancy as well as multiple high-bandwidth connections to the Internet. With 4,000 data racks and Tier III+ service level, China Unicom is able to connect seamlessly with global networks. ATAL’s expertise is keeping the 14,900 sqm facility running.
