The Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123) and its subsidiary regulations provide for building safety requirements, offences and penalties. Criminal prosecution for the offences under the Buildings Ordinance will be elucidated through representative court cases in the seminar.


From perspectives of practising barristers, this seminar provides a case law review on the types of the offences and the defences commonly encountered under the Buildings Ordinance. It seeks to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and practical understanding for managing and avoiding offences in their work environment.
