The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers’ Views on Eight Areas to the Administration for the Formulation of the 2022-23 Budget

(香港,2022年2月9日) 香港工程師學會 (下稱「學會」) 就《2022-23年度財政預算案》諮詢,就基建發展;土地及房屋供應;人才培育;簡化程序;把握大灣區機遇;支持初創及本地企業;支援創科;及建立智慧、環保、具抗逆能力的城市八大範疇,向政府提出建議。學會期望財政司司長能深入考慮有關建議,並將建議納入香港未來發展的藍圖。

(Hong Kong, 9 February 2022) The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) proposed initiatives to the Financial Secretary for the formulation of the 2022-23 Budget, covering eight major areas including encouraging infrastructure development; land and housing supply; nurturing talent; streamlining submission and approval processes; leveraging opportunities in the GBA; supporting start-ups and local enterprises; I&T development and pooling I&T talent; and building a smart, green and resilient city.  The HKIE looks forward to the Financial Secretary’s thorough consideration of our views and incorporating the Institution’s proposal into Hong Kong’s strategic development plan. 


The Institution will continue to contribute our professional engineering knowledge and expertise and join hands with the Administration and different sectors to support the development of a better Hong Kong.
