The energy consumption of buildings contributes 90% power demand in Hong Kong. It is necessary to carry out design of HVAC and lift systems in more efficient manner as the above systems are relatively high energy consumption in the building. In addition, the energy efficient design is definitely required in order to achieve the target of min. 26% carbon emission reduction by 2030 in Hong Kong as referred to the base level in 2005.
