（香港，2024年2月27日）香港工程師學會（下稱「學會」）年度旗艦盛事——「香港工程師週2024」連串精彩活動與比賽已經打響鑼鼓，多場專為不同年齡層和業內人士而設的比賽陸續開始。其中，「我們的夢想城市」小學生設計比賽經過競爭激烈的初賽殷選，共有十隊入圍隊伍脫穎而出，並將於3月1日至3日舉行的「香港工程師週嘉年華」（下稱「嘉年華」）期間，向公眾展示參賽作品展，入場人士除可觀賞學生作品，更可向支持的作品投下一票（公眾投票佔比例總30%）。嘉年華的第三日（3月3日），入圍隊伍更會向評審講解作品理念。

「我們的夢想城市」小學生設計比賽旨在激發小學生的創造力及培養團隊合作精神，從小開始培養他們對城市建設及工程領域的興趣。入圍隊伍的模型作品主要以環保、可持續發展、宜居城市為題，透過人工智能、創新科技、物聯網融入城市設計意念，構建對可持續發展的綠色生活願景。

除了「我們的夢想城市」小學生設計比賽，嘉年華會進行中學生「工程達人-你問我答」及「 N展聯盟」決賽，屆時亦設有與工程相關的多項互動遊戲攤位、比賽，打卡熱點及精彩表演項目，歡迎市民參與。

(Hong Kong, 27 February 2024) The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) is gearing up for its annual flagship event, the “Hong Kong Engineers Week 2024,” (HKEW) featuring a series of exciting activities and competitions.  Among them, “Our Dream City” Primary Student Design Contest’s preliminary round was conducted, shortlisting ten finalist teams whose entries will be exhibited at “Hong Kong Engineers Week Carnival” (Carnival) from 1 to 3 March.  In addition to appreciating the students’ works, visitors can also vote for their favourite designs (public voting accounts for 30% of the total score).  The finalists will also present their design concepts to the judging panel on day three (3 March) of the Carnival. 

“Our Dream City” Primary Student Design Contest aims to inspire creativity and foster teamwork among primary school students, nurturing their interest in urban development and the field of engineering from a young age.  The model works of the shortlisted teams primarily revolve around themes of environmental sustainability and creating liveable cities, incorporating concepts of artificial intelligence, innovative technologies, and the IoT into urban design, envisioning a green lifestyle in line with sustainable development. 

In addition to the “Our Dream City” Primary Student Design Contest, the Carnival will feature the final rounds of “Our Future Engineers” Secondary Student Quiz Contest and Engineer Alliance.  There will also be interactive game booths, contests related to engineering, photo spots, and exciting performances.  The event welcomes the participation of the public.
