On 20 March 2025, HKIE Materials Division and Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster closer collaboration between the parties in the professional advancement of highway engineering research and related materials technology development in Hong Kong. This collaboration is particularly important given the close relationship between pavement materials applications and sustainable road and highway infrastructure.
