YMC Helper Recruitment for Session 2025/2026

Programme Highlights

YMC events have so much fun! Our fruitful activities provide a diverse learning experience through technical events and social and cultural activities and enable you to make new engineer friends from other disciplines to broaden your connections! To value and equip yourself, how about joining us and registering as our YMC helpers? Together we will organise mass events and activities, contribute to the Institution and the Society while improving our interpersonal, management and decision-making skills! In session 2024/2025, YMC will continue to organise activities in 12 areas through the leadership of the committee members. You are invited to join the group(s) that you are most interested in:

Groups

Description

Students Promotion Group

To provide secondary and tertiary students with information on their career prospects in Engineering

Graduates Promotion Group

To assist engineering graduates in their professional development

Seminars Group

To organise seminars or workshops of a multi-disciplinary nature with main focuses on technical aspects.

Visits Group

To organise visits of a multi-disciplinary nature with main focuses on technical aspects.

Internal Affairs Group

To support the events of HKIE, including but not limited to HKIE’s 50th Anniversary events.

Community Services Group

To promote members’ awareness in society through participation in community services.

Public Relations Group

To promote collaboration among various engineering institutions, different professionals and YMC

Sports & Recreation Group

To promote members’ interests in the fellowship amongst all classes of members and their awareness of health and sports

Social, Culture & Arts Group

To promote members’ interests in the Institution and fellowship amongst all classes of members

Publicity and Webmaster Group

To promote YMC and activities organised by the Committee and members

Special Events Group

To identify and coordinate with RYMs and Working Groups for special events, international conferences and events under the President’s theme

Human Resources Group

To monitor members’ feedback on YMC’s activities and focus on training helpers and preparing them to be committee members.
