HKIE Panel of Adjudicators

Requirements
To be eligible for inclusion on the HKIE Panel of Adjudicators, an applicant must:
1. Professional Qualifications
- Be a Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE or FHKIE); or
- Be a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) whose name is currently entered in the register established under section 7 of the Engineers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 409).
2. Eligibility Criteria
- Fulfil the basic eligibility requirements for adjudicators as set out in Appendix II of the Development Bureau’s Guidance Notes for Application for Admission to the Register of Adjudicators.
3. Training and Assessment
- Successfully complete a recognised Adjudication Training Course and pass the written examination; or
- Complete equivalent training and pass an equivalent assessment acceptable to HKIE.
- Note: Applicants with training and/or assessment from other institutions may be required to attend supplementary training and/or assessment as determined by HKIE.
(Remarks: Applicants who are highly respected in the industry and/or society, and who demonstrate strong judicial qualities in construction dispute resolution, may be considered for inclusion on the Panel—subject to meeting the basic eligibility requirements and passing a peer interview—at the discretion of HKIE.)
(Remarks: Adjudicators listed on the HKIE Panel of Adjudicators must submit an annual declaration form to maintain their inclusion on the Panel.)
