Introduction
The Asian Conference on Tunnelling and Trenchless Technology (ACTT2025), will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 10-12 September 2025. The purpose of the conference is to continue the tradition of promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, and technological advancements in tunnelling and trenchless construction across Asia. The conference aims to bring together professionals, academics, industry leaders, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss challenges, share experiences, and foster collaboration. It will provide a platform for showcasing cutting- edge research, technology, and solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of underground space.
Topics include:- 1) Sustainability and green tunnelling practices, 2) Digital transformation and emerging technologies, and 3) Innovative and resilient infrastructure for a post- pandemic world. Details for this

Invitation to Apply for Sponsorship
HKIE GDC is considering to sponsor up to 2 engineers to join this Event. Subsidy on registration fee up to HK$5,000 will be offered tothesuccessfulapplicantsindividually.Toqualify, applicants shall satisfy the following basiccriteria:
- Be a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, of whatever class;
- Submit your current curriculum vitae;
- Prepare a written report on the Event.
The successful applicants may be invited by the GDC to share their experience of this Event which will be held in Hong Kong after the Event.
The applications will be assessed by the GDC based on the relevancy of this Event to their career development. The successful applicants will be notified no later than 8th August 2025.
