The Award Scheme
The HKIE Geotechnical Division Prize aims to award students for attaining good performance in geotechnical subjects in completing the civil engineering undergraduate course in Universities in Hong Kong. Each winning student will receive a cash award of HK$5,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

to recognize students with efforts in completing the final year project of geotechnical subjects
The Award Scheme
The AECOM Prize for Best Final-year Geotechnical Project aims to recognize the efforts of final year students of local universities on their final year geotechnical projects. Nominations for the awards were invited from the Department of Civil Engineering of The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Department of Civil & Structural Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Department of Building and Construction of The City University of Hong Kong. The prize is an annual award for final year students studying engineering degrees in local university. The winner will be awarded HK$6,000 and the first runner-up and second runner-up will be awarded HK$4,000 and HK$2,000 respectively.

The Award Scheme
PhD graduates at the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and City University are eligible. The topic of thesis must be in fields of geotechnical engineering and must be published within one year from the nomination. The Universities will be invited to nominate one PhD thesis each for the prize award. Prize in the form of a certificate and an award of HK$8,000 will be given to the winners.

to provide financial assistance and encouragement to undergraduate students to pursue studies in geotechnical engineering
The Award Scheme
The HKIE Geotechnical Division offer scholarship to final year students at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) and City University of Hong Kong (CityU). One scholarship award will be offered to each university each year. The scholarship will be an award of HK$30,000 and will not be renewable.
Candidates should :
- be a final year undergraduate student at HKU, PolyU, HKUST or CityU
- have obtained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in his/her study at the time of application for the scholarship
- have obtained an average "B" or above in at least one geotechnical subject in his/her study in previous academic year
- have undertaken or been undertaking or have committed to undertake at least one elective geotechnical subject in the application of undergraduate programme and
- have strong interest and passion to develop his/her career in geotechnical engineering in Hong Kong
