10 years ago, the HKIE Geotechnical Division (GD) Annual Seminar 2007 was themed “Geotechnical Advancements in Hong Kong since 1970s” to consolidate the then state-of-the-art and state-of-practice geotechnical engineering in HK. This time, we wish to consolidate geotechnical advancement achieved in the past 10 years and highlight challenges and new adventures ahead of us. There should be a drive to make use of the geotechnical skills learnt in HK and export them overseas for sustainable development.
