The IEM-CIE-HKIE Tripartite Seminar aims tocreate a venue for interactive discussions andsharing of experience in multi-disciplineengineering among Chinese Institute ofEngineers (CIE, Taiwan), Hong Kong Institutionof Engineers (HKIE), and The Institution ofEngineers, Malaysia (IEM). The seminar ishosted in turn among the three professionalinstitutions. This year, IEM will be hosting theOne Day IEM-CIE-HKIE Tripartite Seminar withthe theme “Resilient and Sustainable Solutionsfor Geotechnical Engineering”. Geotechnicalstructures such as foundations, slopes,retaining structures, embankments, andunderground works are essential for builtenvironment infrastructures. It is inevitable tointegrate sustainability and resilient solutionsin geotechnical engineering to reduce theadverse environmental impact and enhancingsocial and economic value to the society. Thisseminar will be held on 11 November 2022 inMalaysia and a total of ten papers from threeprofessional institutions will be presented.
