Our GDC representatives, Ir Roy Hung, Tony Ho and Regis Chee, together with two YGC members, Saad Faizi and Daniel Ho, joined the 18th Conference of the Associated Research Centers for the Urban Underground Space (ACUUS) in Singapore from 1-4 November 2023. The main theme for ACUUS 2023 Singapore is “Underground Space – the Next Frontier”, focusing on the new opportunities and challenges in underground space use amid a re-focus on exploring and developing the underground space as a strategic resource and part of sustainable development. Together with other HK delegates from the government, consultants and academia, we are delighted to present papers to showcase HK’s achievements underground space development and engage in meaningful discussions with experienced practitioners and researchers. It is a fruitful trip where we have gained insights from the real-world experiences and expanding professional networks.
