The HKIE Geotechnical Division organized an Overseas Delegation to New Zealand from 4 to 8 March 2019. The visit was aimed at enriching Hong Kong engineers’ knowledge on construction innovations, such as artificial intelligence, BIM, automation, drone photography, and smart technologies applied to infrastructure projects in Auckland and reconstruction for earthquake resilience after the 2011 Christchurch and 2016 Kaikoura earthquakes.. In this evening debriefing session, delegates shared the knowledge and experience gained during the technical visits. We are happy to have over 60 participants joining the debriefing session of the delegation visit to New Zealand.
