The HKIE Geotechnical Division organized an Overseas Delegation to New Zealand from 4 to 8 March 2019. The visit is aimed at enriching Hong Kong engineers’ knowledge on construction innovations, such as artificial intelligence, BIM, automation, drone photography, and smart technologies applied to infrastructure projects in Auckland and reconstruction for earthquake resilience after the 2011 Christchurch and 2016 Kaikoura earthquakes. In this evening debriefing session, delegates will share the knowledge and experience gained during the technical visits.
