The Annual Concrete Seminar 2022 – “Low-carbon Concrete on the Move” was successfully held on 10 November 2022. This year, the seminar was co-organised by the Standing Committee on Concrete Technology (SCCT) of DEVB, HKIE Civil Division, HKIE Geotechnical Division and HKIE Materials Division. After the seminar, the award presentation ceremony of Low-Carbon Concrete Trophy Competition 2022 was held. The objective of the competition is to arouse the awareness of stakeholders towards the benefits of low-carbon concrete produced using the GGBS. Overwhelming responses were received with over 140 participants joining the competition. Congratulation to all the winning teams! We are grateful to have the support from the speakers, supporting organisations, judging panels of the competition, the Public Works Laboratories, and last but not least the participants. We are confident that with the concerted effort amongst Government, Industry and Academia, the development of concrete technology will be in leaps and bounds!
