The career workshop jointly organised by the HKIE Geotechnical Division and its Young Geotechnical Club, HKIE Student Chapter of HKU and the HKU Civil Engineering Society was successfully held in HKU this Monday (April 19). We were honoured to have Ir Calvin Cheung, Ir Tony Ho and Ir Chris Lee to be our distinguished guests. In the chit chat session, they shared their invaluable experiences of being geotechnical engineers in contractor, client and consultant sectors respectively. Students were enthusiastic in raising questions to learn more about geotechnical engineering during the group discussion. We all had a rewarding evening! We hope this workshop provided HKU students with guidance on their career choices and attracted young talents to embark on a geotechnical career!
