We successfully concluded the “From Nature’s Depths to Urban Heights: Shaping Hong Kong’s Future through Rock Cavern Development – Joint Young Professional’s Think Deep Workshop 2023”, and it was an incredible experience diving into the world of rock cavern development! Participants, including young engineers from various disciplines, young planners, young geologists and students, explored the vast potentials of commercial rock cavern development. They learned to devise viable and interesting development schemes for the topic “landmark tourist attraction in SCVA no. 36” through keen discussions, presentations and forum participations. The Teams collaborated, brainstormed, and designed innovative solutions to the topic, showcasing their creativity and expertise. Great thanks to our distinguished guests, Mr David Lam, JP, Under Secretary for Development, and Ir Dr Raymond Cheung, JP, Head of the GEO, CEDD. Congratulations to the winning teams, and hope you all have not just learned more about rock cavern development but also developed your interest and passion in the subject! The workshop was truly thought-provoking and enlightening, only with the sincere help of various industry professionals in rock cavern development.
