| Introduction | The property management industry is undergoing a profound transformation. As urban environments become denser and tenant expectations continue to rise, traditional approaches to building management - characterized by reactive maintenance, manual inspections, and siloed operations - are no longer sufficient. Property managers face mounting pressure to reduce operational costs, enhance occupant experiences, meet sustainability targets, and future-proof their assets against rapidly evolving technological standards. The Internet of Things (IoT) presents a paradigm-shifting solution to these challenges. By embedding intelligence into physical infrastructure through networks of interconnected sensors and actuators, IoT transforms conventional buildings from passive structures into responsive, data-driven ecosystems. |
