Building Maintenance Support
The New Support Service Scheme for Building Maintenance Works introduces Pre-qualified Lists of Consultants and Contractors to assist building owners in engaging suitable service providers for building maintenance projects. The initiative seeks to enhance the effective delivery of building maintenance works through the participation of qualified professionals and contractors.
For members to better understand the scheme and application arrangements, a briefing session held by the DevB was held on 8 October 2026, with over 450 members joining online and in person.
The session featured briefings by Ms Doris Ho, Permanent Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands); Mrs Elina Chan, Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) 2; Ms Carolin Fong, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Authority; and Mr Henri Lui, Senior Manager of the Urban Renewal Authority. The speakers shared details on the pre-qualification framework, application process and assessment criteria. Members also participated in the Q&A session.
The three Pre-qualified Lists cover:
- Inspection Consultants
- Supervision Consultants (responsible for drafting tender documents and supervising building maintenance works)
- Building Works Contractors
Applications are now open until 27 October 2026. Eligible members are encouraged to submit their applications and contribute their professional expertise to the building maintenance sector.
