(香港，2021年6月13日) 為響應特區政府展開「全城起動 快打疫苗」運動，以保障市民大眾健康，香港工程師學會 (下稱「學會」) 將推出疫苗接種鼓勵計劃，惠及100名已接種疫苗的學會會員，提供一年會費豁免。(活動詳情將會待稍後取得相關抽獎牌照後盡早公布。)
所有學會會員只須於 2021 年 8 月 31 日或之前，在香港完成接種兩劑新冠疫苗，均可參加。
學會會長源栢樑教授、工程師表示：「學會希望透過疫苗接種，令社會更快回復常態。工程師的日常工作須與社會不同人士溝通和合作，接種疫苗不單保護自己、身邊的人，以及工作伙伴。我們希望透過是次活動，鼓勵本學會會員接種疫苗，並給社會各界起示範作用，為香港推行全面接種疫苗出一分力。」

(Hong Kong, 13 June 2021) In support of the “Early Vaccination for All” campaign launched by the Hong Kong SAR Government to safeguard public health, The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (the HKIE) announced today the launch of a campaign offering HKIE members who have received COVID-19 vaccination a one-year full membership fee waiver, which will benefit one hundred members. (Details of the campaign will be announced after obtaining related license(s).)
The campaign is open to all members who have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination in Hong Kong on or before 31 August 2021.
Ir Prof P L Yuen, President of the HKIE, said “Through vaccination we hope that people’s life in Hong Kong will return to normal earlier. As engineers, we work and engage with a wide range of people day in and day out. Vaccination provides protection to ourselves, our loved ones and all we work with. We hope that this HKIE’s campaign will motivate our fellow members to get vaccinated, and encourage full vaccination coverage in Hong Kong.”
