Electricity fuels the growth of the Hong Kong economy and lights up our everyday life. Just imagine a day without an electricity supply. I am proud to be an electrical engineer practising in the power industry. Starting as an engineering trainee, I underwent training at the power stations in Hong Kong, where I witnessed the operation of different types of facilities, which was really stunning to me. What’s more is the extensive transmission network that brings power to each of our households and even to each light pole that lights up Hong Kong. You wouldn’t believe how the network wires up the entire territory of Hong Kong. It’s in this field that I can learn everything about electricity.
