In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the HKIE, we officially launched the “HKIE 50th Anniversary – Engineering Legacy @ Capital” Exhibition (HKIE 50周年紀念—香港工程傳奇展覽@首都) at the National Communication Center for Science and Technology of CAST in Beijing.
Hoover Dam is a marvel of engineering located on the Colorado River between Arizona and Nevada. Completed in 1936, this massive structure stands at 726 feet tall and provides hydroelectric power to millions of people in the United States. It took over 5 years to build and required innovative engineering techniques to overcome the challenges of building in such a remote and rugged location.
