(香港，2021年6月28日) 香港工程師學會 (下稱「學會」) 欣然公布鍾國輝工程師於2021年6月28日舉行的第46屆會員周年大會上履任第47屆會長。源栢樑教授、工程師則任期屆滿，成為上任會長。
新任會長鍾工程師致力於任期内提升學會運作及服務能力，與會員携手合作，促進工程專業的發展，為社會創造更大價值。
鍾會長表示「專業維新」是學會本年度的主題。他留意到部分會員對學會服務的看法，認為現在正是推動學會年輕化和擁抱創科的時候。在鍾會長的領導下，學會將開展一系列針對數碼化、加强會員服務、提升專業、促進創新和檢討管治的改善措施，並制定具方向性及時間表的策略性路綫圖。
鍾會長擁有豐富的專業知識及管理經驗，對服務學會及業界充滿熱誠，定能在任內代表並帶領學會，提升工程師聲望，為學會帶來活力。
在周年大會當天，卜國明工程師及李志康博士、工程師獲選連任為副會長；而馬紹祥工程師則獲大會選為新任副會長。本年度獲大會推選之5位理事分別為陳瑩瑩工程師、張均榮工程師、李志銓工程師、李志灝工程師及鄧社堅工程師。

(Hong Kong, 28 June 2021) The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (The HKIE) is pleased to announce the installation of Ir Edwin Chung Kwok-fai as the 47th President for Session 2021/2022 at The HKIE 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28 June 2021. Following the completion of his term of office, Ir Prof P L Yuen becomes the Immediate Past President.
President Ir Chung is dedicated to enhancing the operation of the Institution, engaging members to drive collective actions, bringing the engineering community to a new height, and eventually creating greater value for society.
In his speech, Ir Chung stated that “HKIE – Time to Change” will be the theme of the Institution for the year ahead. Being aware of members’ perception of the Institution’s undertakings, he believes it is time for rejuvenation of the HKIE and a paradigm shift to embracing innovation. Under Ir Chung’s leadership, the Institution will kick start an extensive series of refinement, focusing on pursuing digitalisation, enhancing service to members, boosting professionalism, facilitating innovation and undertaking governance review. A strategic roadmap will soon be worked out with pointers to the direction and timescale for leading beneficial change to the Institution.
Possessing extensive professional knowledge and management experience, as well as dedication for serving the profession and the community, Ir Chung is well positioned to represent and lead the HKIE by making engineers’ voice heard and bringing vitality to the Institution.
At the AGM, it was also announced that Ir Aaron K M Bok and Ir Dr LEE Chi-hong were re-elected as Vice Presidents. Ir Eric S C Ma was elected Vice President for this Session on the day of the AGM. The five new Elected Ordinary Members of the Council are Ir Chan Ying-ying, Ir Kenneth K W Cheung, Ir Alexis C C Lee, Ir Lee Chi-ho, and Ir Kelvin S K Tang.
