學會一向積極關注社會事務，並就工程界相關政策，以及由政府和其他公共機構發布的諮詢文件，適時提供專業具建設性的意見。
為確保提交的意見能有效回應公眾關注的議題，並符合工程業界的利益，學會會舉辦論壇，促進會員間深入討論。透過此協作過程，學會得以制定具權威性的觀點，為工程界及社會的發展作出具意義的貢獻。
